Since as long as I can remember, my passion has always been to work with people and empower others to understand who they are, what makes them unique and to overcome any obstacles that may be getting in the way of happiness. After many years in Counseling roles, Human Resources, and taking time off to raise my son, I took my own advice and did something to follow my passion. After becoming Certified as a Life Coach, I started my own company, Your Soul Discovery, and used my strengths to empower woman to become the best versions of themselves. As I watched them transform and start to believe in themselves again, I thought how can I do the same for kids? Why is it that many wait until they are an adult to seek support? After much research I found Adventures in Wisdom and WISDOM™ coaching for kids and it was exactly what I was looking for. I am thrilled to add this new branch to my business- Roots and Wings for Kids. Ever since my son was born, I knew the most important life skill he would need to develop for himself would be self esteem. From then on, I researched how we all have the power to develop high self esteem and how it’s developed from an early age. These essential life skills are the foundation for a happy life. I’m constantly updating my knowledge and the research that is offered through books, workshops, and classes.
I have a Bachelors in Psychology and I’m a Certified Professional Coach through The Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching ( IPEC). I practice in alignment with the ICF Core Coaching Competencies and Code of Ethics. The ICF governs and regulates international coaching standards and practices. I am also a Certified Wisdom Coach through Adventures in Wisdom which is accredited by the ICF. Adventures in Wisdom is a worldwide company bringing personal development and life coaching to kids since 2012 with well over 100 certified coaches in 30+ countries. I’ve also served as a Board member for Pennfield Elementary School in Rhode Island and involved in numerous volunteer positions within the community.
